    Description
    Antique silver plate loving cup trophy presented to we are Adm. Henry H Hough USN / from American chamber of commerce and American community Hankow / in appreciation 1925-1927.
    6 1/2 inches tall, about 11 inches from handle to handle. Needs a good cleaning but it appears to be an overall excellent condition.
    Henry Hughes Hough (January 8, 1871 – September 9, 1943) was a
    Rear Admiral
    of the
    United States Navy
    and one-time military
    Governor of the United States Virgin Islands
    . In 1923 he was the director of the
    Office of Naval Intelligence
    . He commanded the
    Yangtze Patrol
    from 1925 to 1927.
    He is buried in Arlington National Cemetery.
