    Description

1930s-1940s Child's Propaganda Kimono Japan Silk Omoshirogara WWII RARE. The motif includes soldiers carrying the Rising Sun battle flags, artillery guns, Mitsubishi bombers, battleships, bugles, swords, bombs, and what appears to be children in cars with a 5-pointed star.
During WWII many of the omoshirogara
designs depicted and reflected the military and political actions of Japan during its involvement in the war (1931-1945), and are commonly referred to as 'propaganda kimono.'
