Attention Collectors – Up for sale is a model 1473 “The Statesman” complete train set.
This is a collector’s dream and is a virtual time capsule from 1929.
It is possibly the most original and complete set in existence today.
The train has been in our family since new and was my father’s first train.
It is very original and includes the 4 car model 1473 train, the tracks both straight and curved, a 2 piece switching set #4468, transformer #1265, and single arm light post #2209.
Almost all of the original cartons are also included.
The train car cartons even have the original wax paper packing and corrugated insets.
There is also the original sales pamphlet and the original 3 instruction booklets.
Overall condition is very good for a set that is over 90 years old.
This is a “true time capsule” and is a highly desirable collector’s item due to the history and completeness.
