    Description

    Shaped as a delicate bouquet, this charming signed K. Mikimoto Tokyo Sterling Silver brooch features 13 lustrous graduated Akoya pearls.  I am not a jeweler, so I cannot measure their individual sizes.  I believe that the stamp S in Japan indicates that the quality of silver is .950 rather than .925.  I bought this pin from an antique dealer in the 1980s and I don't know its' age.  I have gotten lots of  compliments every time I have worn it, but as I am now downsizing, I have decided to let someone else enjoy it as I have.  It is in pre-owned condition and could use a good cleaning and polishing. I will leave that to the new owner.
